Hiatus

2017 was a great year for me and with it came many more new and exciting adventures. I went on my very first plane ride in May and since, have been on a plane once a month for my job. I’ve now flown on over 16 planes – which is a lot compared zero. I’ve grown in my position and strive every day to be the best nurse and leader for my teammates.

I’ve traveled to NOLA and Tulsa, OK with my amazing book club! Then work brought me to AZ, NJ and NYC!

In October I married the love of my life and we bought our first home.

2017 brought the knowledge that it’s okay to take a break. It’s okay to pause and not run yourself into the ground. I like to stay busy and always have a million and one tasks going on, but times are changing. I am now allowing myself a break.

I am on a hiatus.

I’m still writing the stories in my head and working on unfinished projects like Unsteady and Strong Love. I’m not sure when they will publish, and I’m not giving up on something that I love doing.

My work life, along with other items I would tie myself to,  took up so much of my time that I was starting to neglect the people and things that matter the most in life.

My family. My Husband. My Friends.

Experiences – Life.

I’m taking 2018 to soak up the power of now – being in the moment and not just a bystander in my own life. 2017 brought a lot of excitement into my life. I’m looking forward to 2018 and all of the fun adventures that will come along with it.
